Who runs Knoxville Senior Advisor?
Knoxville Senior Advisor is an independent senior care referral and advisory service for families in Knoxville and six surrounding East Tennessee counties; it is not a government agency and is not affiliated with the Health Facilities Commission, TennCare, ETHRA or the CAC Office on Aging.
Our advisors talk with families about care needs, budget and location, then share licensed options that fit and help arrange tours. Families never pay us.
How does Knoxville Senior Advisor make money?
Partner communities pay a referral fee when a family we introduced moves in; that is how the service stays free, and it is why we disclose the arrangement on every page.
Partnership never changes what the directory shows: every licensed facility in the seven counties appears with the same state and CMS data, whether or not it works with us.
Where does the site's information come from?
Facility data comes only from the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission's reports and listings and from CMS Care Compare; rules, programs and prices come from Tennessee rule chapters, TennCare, the Department of Disability and Aging, CareScout, the VA and CMS, each cited where it is used.
See our editorial standards for details, and email us if you find something wrong.
What areas does Knoxville Senior Advisor serve?
We serve Knox, Blount, Anderson, Loudon, Sevier, Roane and Union counties, including Knoxville, Farragut, Powell, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Clinton, Lenoir City, Loudon and Tellico Village, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Kingston, Harriman and Maynardville.
What happens when a family contacts Knoxville Senior Advisor?
An advisor calls or emails back, usually the same business day, to learn about the person needing care, the budget, the preferred part of the region and the timeline, then sends a short list of licensed options and offers to schedule tours.
You decide which communities hear from you. There is no contract to sign with us, and you can stop at any point. If a public program such as TennCare CHOICES or OPTIONS fits better than a private-pay community, we will say so and point you to ETHRA.
What will Knoxville Senior Advisor not do?
We will not rate facilities, recommend a community we have not checked against its state record, pressure a family to move, or give legal, medical or financial advice; for those we point you to an elder law attorney, your doctor or a benefits counselor.
We also do not hide facilities that do not work with us. The directory is complete for the license types it covers.
How can families reach Knoxville Senior Advisor?
Use the care-match form on any page, the chat button at the bottom right, or email advisors@knoxvillesenioradvisor.com; you can also call (865) 459-3301.
Tell us the town or ZIP code, the kind of help needed and how soon. An advisor who knows the seven counties will follow up.
